ABSTRAK


Staphylococcus sp. is one of the bacterial pathogens. These bacteria are often found as normal flora of the skin and mucous membranes of humans, but some other kind can harm humans and animals. Mobile is a supporting tool of communication that is used for communication and other purposes. Mobile may be contaminated with Staphylococcus sp. due to direct contact with the hand. The purpose of the study to investigate the contamination and the percentage of Staphylococcus sp. the mobile phone screen student class of 2015. The research is a descriptive survey with a total sampling taking as many as 11 pieces of mobile phone screens Health Academy students Analyst force Lestari Borneo, 2015. Based on the results of bacterial contamination Staphylococcus sp. the mobile phone screen student class of 2015 with duration of use are different from 3-6 months obtained 10 pieces of positive samples (90.90%) there is contamination of Staphylococcus sp. and 1 negative samples (09,09%) there is no contamination of the bacteria Staphylococcus sp. A safety and hygiene in mobile equipment also affect the feasibility of doing a communication. It is advisable for students to maintain the cleanliness of the supporting tools of communication in order to avoid contamination of Staphylococcus sp.
