Abstract

Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the Mycrobacterium tuberculosis. A major symptom of lung tuberculosis patients is shallow cough for two weeks or more. Coughing can be followed by additional symptoms of phlegm mixed with blood, blood coughing, shortness of breath weakness of the body, loss of appetite, loss of weight, night sweats with no physical activity and vibrancy for more than a month. The purpose of this study is to know the relation of the level of knowledge on patient suspect Tuberculosis of the lung prevention behavior in the cempaka sprouts. The study is a quantitative study designed by cross sectional, the population in the study is the entire family of patients who’ve confirmed positive Tuberculosis for passing themselves over to the center of the new flood city pollute district with a purposive sampling. The instruments in this study consisted of questionnaires, which would then be carefully filled out by willing respondents. Based on the results of 39 respondents showed good knowledge level 87,2% , poor knowledge 12,8%, good behavior97,1% and poor behavior 7,7%. Analysis with the chi square test results on a significant linkbetween the level of knowledge on patient Suspect Tuberculosis of the lung’ prevention behavior,with a sig value (P=Value)0,038<0,05
